Top 3 reasons to have Mike Tikkanen as your next speaker:

Mike Tikkanen presents a clear and impassioned message on one of the most
misrepresented and under-reported issues facing America. He raises the
audience's awareness of how society fails its children, then he offers the
audience members tools they can use to help make a difference.

Mike's content works perfectly for groups with a social conscience, involved
in social or education work, or wanting a program to positively impact
social change.

Mike's compassion for the children who will become the next generation's
teen parents or adolescent felons brings life and hope to a topic often
ignored-how our institutions fail to achieve what they were created to
accomplish.

Testimonials:

It is truly critical for adults from all corners of our society to speak out on behalf of children, especially those children without someone who cares about them and their futures. Mike Tikkanen .takes a very hard look at what is happening to some of those very special children and the adults they become. His work and the work of thousands of guardians ad litem mean life or death to children whose life depends on "the system" and the court. I deeply appreciate Mike's willingness to say what needs to be said.   Connie Skillingstad, Executive Director, Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota.

Mike is passionate about how we can be better child advocates and why
advocacy is critical if our schools are to be the safe and effective
institutions they once were.  He encourages us to bring attention and resources to the vast problems facing America's at risk children and the schools they attend. Mike speaks directly to the impact child abuse has on children and how it affects their behavior and development in school, at home, in their community, and just as importantly, how abused children impact us.   Shirley Schroeder, Teacher, Guardian ad-Litem, Mother, Grandmother

Mike Tikkanen understands the relationship between children that are not "ready to learn", failed reading scores, and the struggle within our public school system today. He identifies the core problems facing these children and what must happen to solve them.    Joe McCarthy,  Former Elementary school Teacher

Mikes message is tough, accurate, and the painful truth on what we need to know to save our schools and communities. It is an eye opening, awareness building exercise in how making life better for troubled children improves life for all of us.
Donald Schmitz  Former Teacher of the Year

Mike Tikkanen knows why schools and educators are struggling and he speaks clearly about how we can be catalysts for the changes that are needed to improve the lives of the youngest and most vulnerable among us.  Steve Rosso, Former Grade school teacher
