College to Career
speakers engage their audience with energy and passion, yet
deliver their in-depth program for completing college in four
years and being employable upon graduation with genuineness and
credibility. The speakers leave each attendee feeling they’ve
had a one-on-one experience. Because they personalize their
programs, College to Career’s speakers are suitable for both
large and small audiences. They have delivered workshops, panel
discussions and presentations locally as well as on a national
level. Their programs are interactive and fun resulting in an
engaging and comfortable learning experience.
Each category of person attending a College to Career program
leaves with a tangible success plan. College to Career’s
expertise in career exploration and decision-making teaches a
student audience how to “make decisions with direction”. It’s
“parent coaching” expertise teaches a parent audience a
“coaching model” to support their students through college in
four years. Its college campus expertise teaches a faculty/staff
audience the “best practices approach” for engaging both
students and their parents, resulting in an ideal three-party
partnership that maximizes the “whole” college, student, and
parent relationship.

Keynote:
Capitalize on Parent Involvement to Support Your Emerging Adult
Students—Do students seem different? Are parents at
your institution a topic of conversation? Two possible trends
you may be experiencing first hand are student’s who are more
likely to be considered “emerging adults” and parents who are
very involved in their student’s college experience. How can
your institution respond to both trends in a positive manner and
help parents transition into a healthy role and their student
transition into adulthood?
Testimonials:
“Terese and Peter offered a fun and engaging hour for our
students. I do not doubt that this presentation was relevant and
made an impact on the audience. In fact, I was amazed by the
large number of students who stayed after to ask questions and
continue the conversation. It is clear that Terese and Peter are
passionate about their work and genuinely want to help others
find their life passions.” Sara Sampolinski, Director,
Bailey Residence Hall, University of Minnesota
“After their talk was over (which was at about 8:00 p.m., mind
you), Peter and Terese hung around chatting with several
students who had stayed to ask very individualized questions—the
kind that just can’t be addressed during a group session. So
while their session and their presentation skills both speak for
themselves, I’d also like to commend them—and recommend them—for
their obvious passion for helping college students, be it in
group settings or one on one. Too often, speakers who come to
campus show up, ‘do their time,’ and leave. It was refreshing to
see Peter and Terese take the exact opposite approach.”
Pamela Braun, M.A., former Director of Career Services,
Concordia University St. Paul
“Judy and Terese have put together something that is well
researched and is also based on practical experience working
with new college graduates, corporations, and nonprofits. Terese
and Judy were receptive to addressing parents as parents of St.
Olaf College students—including becoming familiar with St.
Olaf’s mission, values and, to some extent, our campus culture.
… The parents in attendance responded well to having a
presentation that was specifically directed to them as parents
of college students. … I recommend Judy and Terese with
confidence—their time with our parents was well worth the
investment.” Rosalyn Eaton-Neeb, Ph.D., Associate Dean for
First-Year Students, St. Olaf College
“Having Terese, Peter, and Judy come to the Maple Grove (MN)
Starbucks to share with members of our community their passion
to see students succeed professionally and personally was
wonderful. I was so encouraged and uplifted by their passion and
devotion toward helping young people through what we all know
are confusing times, not only having to choose what school to go
to but also what to study and in essence what to “be” when you
grow up. Fortunately we were able to provide the perfect
environment for Terese, Peter, and Judy to have their “Fireside
Chat” with the attendees one on one and to offer them great
advice and precise feedback.” Caroline Shin, Assistant
Manager, Maple Grove (MN) Starbucks Store #2318
